December Sales Market Highlights

The numbers are in for December sales statistics! December was a great sales month. The market is still quite active this winter rolling right on into 2017. 

Last year the Emerald Coast hit a record in tourism -June alone was a 13% increase from 2015- making our area a hot spot for investing in real estate. 

Our inventory is still low, and demand is still strong. These economic occurrences have helped drive prices up. Affordability will be one of the main issues for buyers this year. We still can find you a property that will suit your needs and will build equity through the years. 

For those buyers waiting to buy, climbing interest rates will also be a factor. With a Trump administration beginning this year, the FED increased rates at the end of the year, and it appears that will be the trend for 2017. In October the rates were in the 3.66% range and are now in the 4.38% range. Still, rates are still historically very low.
